I believe that I may have reached my full capacity for Recovery, and that may be about 70%, or three-quarters.
I should be grateful, but the truth is I mourn the missing 30 per cent.
I wanted to reach 100 per cent, and the missing percentage prevents me from fully slipping into normality.
Why do we wish for 100 per cent?
We want to believe that we can return to normal. We want to have the life we believe the illness has stolen from us.
We do not want to compromise.
So much of Recovery involves compromise.
