This is a metaphor that I use for Recovery.

In the fairytale, the wife gazes into the garden of the Witch.  She sees vegetables growing, and she longs to eat them.

Finally her husband climbs over the wall, and is caught by the witch.

I also have a yearning, and that is for recovery.

I crave recovery, just as the wife craves the vegetables growing in the garden of the witch.

No-one knows that I do this.  I go through the day with this wish inside of me.

I want to get well.

I want to sleep without dreams.

To sleep through the night.

To waken, and welcome the day.
