Stigma

is not an isolated phenomenon in my life.  It has direct consequences.

I do not want to be too specific, as I am mindful that other people who face stigma may read this.

But Stigma has had serious consequences in my life.

It is those consequences which keep me awake at night, which lead to an anxiety attack in the morning.

I feel desperate to be free of mental illness, and so free of stigma.

But how can anyone totally free themselves of mental illness?
